Camping Lantern · Designed · Dec 2024
Made of PLA plastic, rubber, acrylic
An outdoor lamp that breaks away from the typical ‘outdoor’ look.
While camping gear should be portable and multifunctional, size limits often compromise the user experience. This design aims to integrate spotlight and ambient lighting into one product, providing users with appropriate lighting for various different scenarios such as camping, night hiking, and outdoor gatherings.
Buckles and high-strength webbing ensure that the lantern can be securely suspended from tree branches or other pole-like structures. Soft rubber is installed at the corners of the outer shell to prevent impacts and abrasion from causing damage to the internal components
Structural Design.
Components connected through reusable snap-fit joints instead of glue, making them detachable and replaceable. The flexible snap-fit design also allows users to freely adjust the position of each module.
The modular design breaks the lantern into 12 main parts for easy packing and transport, while allowing users to customize or swap outer shells in various colors and materials.
