栖 Ch’i

Desktop Sculpture / Massager Toy · Designed · May 2026

  • The Temple, Teapot, Toy Problem explores 3D elements beyond plane, line, and volume as the relationship between these elements, and human interaction is considered.

  • This design aims to explore form, materials, the natural curves of the human hand, and ergonomics to create a unique massage toy. Beyond being merely a massage device, its form and material aesthetics also allow it to function as an exquisite desktop ornament or a small sculptural object.

  • Cherry wood, stainless steel, resin

The design draws inspiration from the outline of a bird perched upon a branch, featuring a smooth, grounded form. 栖 Ch’i abstracts this imagery into a simple geometric form.

The form follows a continuous smooth curve, fitting tightly in the palm when gripped to deliver an ergonomic, comfortable experience.
